Prabhu Narasimhan & Arnaud Massenet
Arnaud and Prabhu first crossed professional paths at Novator Capital, a pre-IPO investor and predecessor to NaMa Capital, which Prabhu co-founded with our CIO, Chiehmi Chan, and investment partner, Thor Björgólfsson.
Arnaud, through his long-standing relationship with Thor Björgólfsson and their shared background in entrepreneurship and a successful track record of founding technology companies, partnered with Novator Capital to lead the SPAC of Aurora Acquisition Corp as its CEO.
Through their work at Novator Capital, Prabhu and Arnaud have formed a successful partnership that combines Arnaud’s unique experience in derivatives and strong track record as a founder, with Prabhu’s expertise in sourcing, diligencing and structuring large ticket pre-IPO investments in disruptive media and technology companies.
Arnaud co-founded luxury fashion e-commerce platform, The Net-a-Porter Group Ltd, over two decades ago, largely self-financing the business together with the Richemont Group. In addition to his experience as a first-hand founder, he has over 15 years’ experience in investment banking with a focus on derivatives structuring.
Through their combined years of interdisciplinary experience, both Prabhu and Arnaud have been able to forge a wide network of investment partners, founders, advisors and capital sources of world-class repute and pedigree. As Managing Partners, Prabhu and Arnaud bring their considerable leadership experience to NaMa and seek to partner with creative and ambitious founders to take their business to the next level.
Investor Partner
Thor Björgólfsson
Chair of Investment Committee
Thor began investing in frontier markets in 1991, founding a bottling company that grew into the Bravo Brewing Group (which was subsequently sold to Heineken in 2002). Following that transaction, Thor founded an investment firm Novator Partners in 2004, diversifying into telecoms and pharmaceuticals, building a portfolio of business investments that led to Forbes Magazine naming him as Iceland’s first billionaire in a 2007 cover story.
Thor, as our core investor partner, is responsible for leading the Investment Committee, which involves the review and approval of investments proposed by the board of NaMa Capital Advisors. He brings to the committee his extensive experience investing in the TMT, financial and pharmaceutical sectors.
